Nigerian singer Korede Bello has disclosed the reasons for his departure from Mavins Records, where he was signed from 2014 to 2021.

During an interview with Hip TV, the “Godwin” hitmaker explained that he felt it was necessary to reassess his personal development and artistic direction, which ultimately led to his decision to leave the label.

Meanwhile, Bello explained that he had reached a point where he felt like a product solely focused on making money, rather than an artist with a deeper purpose.

He stated:-

“I was at a stage where I started to feel like a product that is just there to make money… You lose sight of what matters when you chase after the next hit.”

Also, the singer emphasized the importance of introspection and self-discovery.

He said:-

“I needed to metamorphose, to explore my inner worth, to do introspection, understand myself, understand meaning more, and reconnect to my why.”

Additionally, Korede Bello’s decision to leave Mavins Records marked a chapter in his career. Lastly, he seeks to reconnect with his artistic purpose and pursue a more meaningful path.
