A contestant on the The 1% Club died after filming for an appearance on the popular ITV quiz show hosted by comedian Lee Mack

Steven Wong's death was announced at the end of the episode which aired on Saturday night.

Mr Wong, 52, had a colourful life and shared his encounter with Hollywood stardom-when he narrowly lost out for a role in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

Had he made the part in the 1984 classic he would have featured with Harrison Ford

He told fellow contestants: 'I did not realise this but apparently we got down to the final two and it was me and another kid.

'Do not forget this was only when I was about ten!'
