Singer Shaboozey sympathizes with Beyonce after getting two nominations for Country Music Awards while she got none

American-Nigerian singer, Collins Obinna Chibueze, popularly known as Shaboozey, has bagged two nominations at the 2024 Country Music Awards. Shaboozey was nominated in the New Artist of the Year category, while the hit chart-topping song, Tipsy (A Bar Song) was nominated in the Single of the Year category.Shaboozeys Tipsy has equalled Beyoncs U.S Billboard Hot 100 record and is now officially the most streamed song in the U.S in 2024, according to music monitoring platform, Chart Data. The song already has over 700 million streams on Spotify alone.The song also surpassed Kendrick Lamars Not Like Us & Benson Boones Beautiful Things to become the best selling song in America this year.Celebrating his achievement in a statement on X on Monday night, September 9,Shaboozey said he sang about winning a CMA in 2016. He then sympathized with Beyonce who didn't get any nomination despite her US chart topping Country album. He wrote, Wrote a song about winning a CMA in 2016, and now Im nominated for 2!
