Shooting Stars bank on home support for victory against Gombe United

Shooting Stars Chairman, Babatunde Akoro, is counting on fans’ support as the Ibadan club look to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat to Bendel Insurance.

Akoro believes that encouragement from the stands will boost the players morale during the encounter.

“We look forward to getting more than what they gave us in the first game because that is the tonic needed by the boys to get the job done,” he told Shooting Stars media.

“Come Sunday, we expect nothing less. We are very grateful to the supporters and fans for their support when we hosted Plateau United on Matchday one, their presence and the cheers from the stands really helped us to come out victorious.”

Shooting Stars have recorded one win and one defeat from their opening two games in the Nigeria Premier Football League this season.

The Oluyole Warriors currently occupy 17th position on the table.
