Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 1 October 2024 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Freedom From Captivity

TOPIC: Freedom From Captivity (Seeds Of Destiny 1 October 2024)

SCRIPTURE: I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright. – Leviticus 26:13.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When people are in captivity, they are deprived of what is theirs.
I welcome you to the tenth month of the year. And I decree that in this tenth month, God shall give you freedom from every form of captivity in your life, in Jesus’ Name.

MESSAGE:

It is interesting to know that one of the sweetest things on earth is freedom. One may not know the value of freedom until it is lost.

Many years ago, as a medical doctor, I served in the prison briefly. I had some tear-provoking experiences watching the lives of people whose freedom had been allegedly compromised by one form of crime or the other. When you see how prisoners worship God, you will be amazed; you will know the value of freedom.

The way many of them talk to people who are free suggests that they also want to be free. So, freedom is a sweet thing.

You see, as it is in the physical, so is it in the spiritual. It is sweet to be free in the spiritual.
Now, let us take a look at the implication of being in captivity so we can value freedom and pursue it.

The question is, what does it mean to be in captivity?

Being in captivity means:

i. The restriction or denial of right and privileges (Leviticus 26:13).
When people are in captivity, they are deprived of what is theirs. Every other person can have what is theirs, but not people in captivity. As for free people, it may be easy, but for those in captivity, it is not easy. Life is hard for people in captivity, especially spiritual captivity.

They may say, “But I deserve to be married at this time. I deserve to have a job because of my excellent result,” but there is a restriction or a denial of their rights and privileges because they are under captivity.

ii. The denial of self-determination (Leviticus 26:13).
A person in captivity is denied his right to self-determination. Such person is denied the ability to determine what they want. Others seem to be in control of the schedules and events of their lives. But people in captivity do not have such luxury.

This is the realm where a diabolic person would tell someone what would happen; and like a joke, that thing will happen to them like a puppet-master controlling their lives.

Today, by the apostolic and prophetic mantle of God on my life, I decree your freedom from every form of bondage in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: When people are in captivity, they are deprived of what is theirs.

ASSIGNMENT:

  1. Make up your mind to fight against every form of captivity and bondage in your life.
  2. Make demands on the Blood of Jesus Christ for the release of your life and destiny from every form of bondage and captivity.

PRAYER: Father, I decree that every form of captivity and bondage on my life and destiny be broken today in Jesus’ Name. I receive my total freedom by the Blood of Jesus in Jesus’ Name.
