This is the shocking moment a mob of up to 50 people trashed and looted a 7-Eleven in Rio Linda, California in front of two defenseless staff members - and they could get nothing more than a slap on the wrist.
Sacramento County Sheriff's Office believe the ransacking at 11.30pm on Sunday was part of a sideshow that happened earlier that night.
The mob stole electronics and food items from the convenience store located near Elkhorn and Rio Linda boulevards.

'Our deputies got here within about five minutes, and they were all gone, but the damage was immense,' he said.
' They've got people breaking windows. They've got people potentially with weapons — absolutely no regard for anyone's safety.'
Gandhi said the culprits will likely escape without severe punishment because the looting will be classified as non-violent.
'These guys are probably going to get tickets, at most,' he said.
'Maybe a couple might go to jail for a little while for breaking windows because again, these are now non-violent crimes.
'Ask the two guys inside while this is all going on how non-violent it felt for them.'
There were two clerks working inside the store at the time of the vicious break-in, but neither of them was harmed.
As of Monday night, no arrests had been made.

Screeching tires are heard in the back of the scene and cops later found skid marks across the intersection on Monday.
The California Highway Patrol is in charge of dealing with any sideshows in the unstructured parts of Sacramento County.
They later revealed to KCRA that they decided not to break up the sideshow on Sunday night because they feared for their officer's safety.
This crime is just one of many that have taken place in lawless California, as a 14-year-old girl and a gang of others raided a Nike store in Irvine just last week.
Security footage of Thursday's attack shows the four, and an unknown male accomplice, make off with about $3,000 of clothing including hoodies, pants, shirts, sports bras.
