The Ondo State Government has expressed disappointment with the performance of Nigeria Premier Football League club, Sunshine Stars.
The state’s Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, Hon Saka Yusuf Ogunleye, disclosed this during his visit to the players ahead of the matchday 32 clash against Shooting Stars.
Ogunleye charged the players to make the people proud of their performance.
He commended the efforts of the players and the technical crew, advising them not to relent until they weather the storm.
“The reasons why many of us are not happy are evident,” he stated in his address.
“I’ve come here to share the Goodwill message of Mr Governor with you , we believe you can achieve and I’m assuring you that if you win the derby which I believe it’s possible by the grace of God we shall celebrate you big.
“Go there and make us proud, I believe you can do it, and the merciful God will go with you, Shooting Stars are beatable.”
Sunshine Stars will battle Shooting Stars in a South West derby at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Sunday(today).
