Adebajo, a 34-year-old suspected member of the Eiye Confraternity, was apprehended at his hideout in Isiwo, Ijebu, following a distress call from a concerned citizen.“The information provided by the public was crucial in tracking down Adebajo,” Odutola stated. “Our team acted swiftly, leading to his arrest. During questioning, he confessed to his affiliation with the Eiye Confraternity.”A subsequent search of Adebajo’s residence uncovered a Beretta pistol with six live rounds, two UTC axes, and various charms. The investigation continues as police work to uncover the reasons behind the ritualistic severing of victims’ hands and to apprehend other suspects involved in the crime.Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu, assured the community of a decisive response against cult activities, promising that those responsible for the violence will face justice.
