NPFL: Abdallah reacts to Offor’s dismissal by Kano Pillars

Newly-appointed Kano Pillars Technical Adviser Usman Abdallah has dismissed rumors of ethnicity being a factor in the dismissal of his predecessor, Paul Offor.

Offor was sacked by the Sai Masu Gida a few weeks after his appointment by the newly appointed management board.

“I’ve been away from Kano for a long time, but every season there have been calls for me to return. This time I was there, but it was unfortunate that there was a misunderstanding,” Abdallah told Brace Radio.

“The old chairman’s actions put Paul Offor in a difficult position.

“People are spreading rumors that Offor was replaced because he isn’t Hausa, but that is not true.

“The situation was simply unfortunate. I was supposed to be unveiled the day after Offor was, and the timing just led to confusion.”
