How to Stream Monday Night Football on ABC

Good news for fans who don’t have cable: MNF is expanding into network TV. ABC will simulcast the remaining games from the season, the network announced on Sept. 18, per The Hollywood Reporter.

This season’s doubleheader included games between the New Orleans Saints vs. Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay vs. New York Giants and Tennessee Titans vs. Miami Dolphins.

Monday’s 49ers vs. Vikings game kicks off at 8:15 p.m. ET/5:15 p.m. PT on ABC and ESPN.

DirecTV Stream

$64.99/month (after free trial) $74.99/month 13% off% OFF

Select MNF games will also broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes. The 49ers vs. Vikings game is scheduled for 8:15 p.m./5:15 p.m. ET on ESPN and ABC.

Want to stream football games for free? Subscribe to a free trial to DirecTV Stream to get instant access to ABC, ESPN and more.

There are several other affordable ways to watch ABC. For example, you can buy an HDTV antenna like this one on sale at Amazon for $25.99 (free shipping for Prime members), or subscribe to streamers such as FuboTV, Vidgo and Sling TV.

For around $20-$65, you’ll get to stream live TV and on-demand content, including sports channels, in addition to DVR recording.

You’ll get a free trial DirecTV Stream and Fubo, which means that you can watch football games for free for up to a week. If you’re looking for other streaming discounts, Sling TV is half off for your first month. That means you can subscribe and stream all your favorite sports content and other programs for just $20 for the first month — but only for a limited time.

You can also watch NFL games on YouTube TV and NFL+, the latter starts at $6.99/month for the base subscription and $14.99/month for NLF+ Premium. With NFL+, football fans can watch or listen to games live and on-demand, plus enjoy recaps and more.

How to Watch Monday Night Football Games on ESPN+

Gone are the days of simply switching channels to catch all of your favorite NFL games, and it can be hard to keep track of which games are streaming on which platforms. For example, Prime Video is the streaming home for Thursday Night Football, while Sunday football games are available on NBC, CBS, Paramount+ and Peacock, and some Monday Night Football games are scheduled to simulcast on ESPN+.

With ESPN+, you’ll get access to football and more for $9.99 a month (or bundle with Disney+ and Hulu). Watch the NFL, college football, soccer, MLB, NBA, NHL, UFC, PGA Tour, Top Rank, PLL Playoffs, Premiere League, La Liga, cricket and other sporting events on ESPN+.

What else can you stream on ESPN+? Sports lovers can binge dozens of must-watch series and TV shows, and original content such as PPV fights, and the entire 30 for 30 series, which includes The Captain, Tom Brady: Man in the Arena, Al Davis vs. The NFL, Vick, Be Like Water, Breakaway, More Than An Athlete with Michael Strahan, and Our Time Baylor Basketball.

That said, while there are different ways to watch football games from your TV, phone, laptop or computer, the price will vary depending on which platform that you choose. Fortunately, ESPN is available on several streamers including DirecTV, Fubo, Sling and Hulu + Live TV.

Hulu + Live TV

$76.99/month

Hulu + Live TV gives you access to 90+ channels in edition to ESPN+, Hulu and Disney+, and DVR storage, for $76.99/month.

And if you’re looking for an NFL Sunday Ticket discount, Verizon’s promo has ended, but DirecTV is offering free rewards cards up to $400, which you can use to score free access to NFL Sunday Ticket. See more details here.

Monday Night Football: Games, Dates & Time

Monday Night Football kicked off on Sept. 11 and will continue into January 2024. The MNF kickoff games between the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills drew a record-breaking 22.6 million viewers making it the most watched MNF game in history beating out the previous record-holder, a 2009’s game between the Packers and Vikings.

Meanwhile, Sunday Night Football ratings have received a boost as of late, thanks to Taylor Swift. Although Swift missed the game on Oct. 8, the “Cruel Summer” singer was spotted cheering on Travis Kelce during Sunday’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers. Swift also appeared at Thursday Night Football game earlier in the month, and she could be making an appearance at an upcoming Monday Night Football game next month to watch Travis and the Chiefs face his brother, Jason Kelce, and the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Chiefs vs. Eagles game will take place on Nov. 20 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo. (get tickets here) and will air on ESPN, ABC and stream on ESPN+.

Tickets for the game are priced at around $240 and up, and they’re selling fast, so if you want to be there in person, it’s best to get ticket early (save $10 off eligible purchases of $250+ at Seat Geek with code: BILLBOARD10. Valid on first purchases only).

Fans who want to watch live, either from home or on-the-go, can stream select games on ESPN+ including the aforementioned Eagles vs. Chiefs game next month and Green Bay vs. Giants on Dec. 11.  The Chiefs are scheduled to play another MNF game on Dec. 18 against the New England Patriots — the game will air on ESPN and stream live on ESPN+.

Lastly, the final MNF game of the year will be the Baltimore Ravens vs. 49ers on Dec. 25 at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara Calif. The Christmas Day game will air live on ABC and ESPN and stream on ESPN+. If you’d rather watch the Christmas game live from the stadium alongside thousands of fans, click here to get your tickets early. Prices currently range from around $118 and above.

Christmas Day will be packed with three MNF games on the schedule, including the Giants vs. Eagles airing at 4:30 p.m. ET on Fox and Chiefs vs. Las Vegas Raiders airing at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.

Speaking of the holidays, the Cowboys will face the Washington Commanders in a Thanksgiving Game slated for Thursday, Nov. 23 (get tickets here).

Dolly Parton will headline the halftime show, the country legend announced on Oct. 16. “We’re going to do some stuff that everybody can sing along to,” Parton told CBS This Morning’s Norah O’Donnell. “They’ll know the songs I’m doing. … I want people to be surprised and enjoy it.”

The Cowboys vs. Commanders game will air on Nov. 23 at 4:30 p.m. ET on CBS.

If you haven’t already noticed, MNF sounds a bit different this season. That’s because ESPN enlisted the help of Timbaland and Justin Timberlake to curate the music for select MNF games.

Last month’s broadcast included the debut of the MNF theme featuring Chris Stapleton, Snoop Dogg and Cindy Blackman Santana. The song is a cover of Phil Collins “In the Air Tonight.”

This year’s MNF matchups include the Seahawks vs. Giants, Bears vs. Vikings, Bengals vs. Jaguars, Packers vs. Raiders, Titans vs. Dolphins, 49ers vs. Ravens, Chiefs vs. Patriots and Raiders vs. Detroit Lions. Click here to get tickets to see your favorite NFL games in person.

Want to stream MNF from outside of the U.S.? With ExpressVPN, NordVPN and PureVPN you can access several streaming platforms and channels.
