LaLiga: Ancelotti to bench one Real Madrid forward as he reverts to 4-4-2 formation

Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, will drop one of his forwards as he seeks to start a “mini revolution”, according to Marca.

The Italian would have to leave out one of Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius or Rodrygo, as he contemplates a tactical switch.

Los Blancos have found it rather difficult to play with cohesion since Mbappe arrived as a free agent this summer.

It has led to Ancelotti reaching a crucial conclusion, to a shift towards a four-midfielder formation.

Ancelotti is looking to restore the balance that has been missing. He wants to make the team more solid without sacrificing their attacking threat.

Although the change will not be applied in every game, it is expected to be rolled out in key fixtures, particularly away from the Santiago Bernabeu and in high-stakes matches
