Bridget is officially back, with Renée Zellweger spotted on the set of the fourth film, Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy, earlier this week.
News that the beloved character is returning to the big screen has excited fans as they anticipate the release of the movie nearly ten years after its prequel, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, came out.
The newest release, which will reportedly be based on Helen Fielding's 2013 novel of the same name, will also see Hugh Grant return as his love rat character Daniel Cleaver - despite his death being falsified in the last movie.
The movie is set to follow Bridget as she navigates the death of Mark Darcy - played by Colin Firth - as a single mother of two.
The first film, Bridget Jones's Diary, came out in 2001 and grossed £222 million at the box office – more than ten times what it cost to make.
It remains one of the most successful British rom-coms, with much of the shooting taking place in central London.

8 Bedale Street, Southwark
Bridget's small upstairs flat, which sits atop a Borough Market pub, features heavily in the film series, and its disorganised set up, with magazines and books lying open and empty glasses left on the floor, reflects the chaotic life of the character.
It is the flat where she most notably makes blue soup, spends days in with Cleaver, and where Darcy turns up at her door to declare his love for the first time.
The one-bedroom flat situated near Borough Market, is now worth nearly £1million.
In the movies, the flat is characterised by its patterned rugs, large bookshelves, framed photos and huge lampstands.

Globe Tavern, Borough Market
The singleton's flat is located just above this Victorian pub which dates back to the late 1800s.
Hidden under the arches of London Bridge, the pub's exterior was used for several shots in the movies.

One Great George Street
The posh law council dinner that Darcy - an international human rights lawyer - invites Bridget to is a pivotal moment in the third installment of the film series.
The memorable scene was shot at the four-domed grade II-listed One Great George Street building that is set just off Parliament Square.
While Bridget was initially delighted to be invited to the dinner, it quickly turned south with a series of mishaps ending in Bridget failing a team trivia quiz.

Pickfords Wharf Apartments, Clink Street
This was the location of the stylish bachelor pad Cleaver lived in. The property, which overlooks the Thames, went for sale for more than £3million in 2012.
It is where the hilarious 'tummy control' knicker scene took place and where Bridget later discovered a naked woman in the bathroom.

It saw Darcy confronting Cleaver for abandoning Bridget in Thailand before the pair got into another hilarious fight.
