Nagelsmann pens new Germany deal until 2026

Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann has signed an extension to remain in his post past this summer's Euros, removing any chance that he will return to replace Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich this summer.

Some of the biggest coaching jobs in Europe are available this summer, with Bayern, Liverpool and Barcelona looking for their next manager.

However, Nagelsmann ruled out a return to club football by penning a contract extension with the German FA that will keep him in charge until 2026.

German media reports said Nagelsmann was on the Bayern's shortlist to replace Tuchel, who is stepping down at the end of the season.
