The Brits were out in force on the first Monday in May as  Rita Ora, Dua LipaSienna Miller and Lily James led the  stars attending this year's Met Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

This year the gala is titled Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion while the dress code is The Garden of Time, as there is no doubt the British A-list pulled out all of the stops for the prestigious event.

Singer Rita, 33, ensured all eyes were on her as she arrived to the event in a skintight nude bodysuit that accentuated her jaw-dropping figure and barely covered her modesty.

The hitmaker's very daring garment featured a tasselled multi-coloured overlay that reached the floor while she also wore a pair of nude strappy heels.

The star went braless for the evening and wore her locks in a wet look as she posed alongside her film director husband Taika Waititi on the red carpet.

Meanwhile, singer Dua, 28, caught the eye in a black plunging corset that displayed her famous figure and paired it with a black sheer maxi dress.

The stunning garment featured a sheer detail and a high collar along with a flowing train with a floral print. 

Sienna wore her blonde locks in loose curls and accentuated her natural beauty with a light palette of makeup. 

The Anatomy Of A Scandal star arrived to the event alongside director Greta Gerwig, Emma Mackey, Zoe Saldana and Maison Chloe creative director Chemena Kamali.  

Lily, 35, ensured all eyes were on her as she arrived to the star-studded gathering in a pale pink gown with a plunging neckline that highlighted her incredible figure.

The garment featured a black leaf print while Lily drew further attention to the outfit with a dramatic flowing train.

The Pam & Tommy star styled her brunette locks into an elegant updo for the event and added height to her frame with a pair of black heels.

The Sex Education star boosted her frame with dark brown lather boots and complimented her outfit with a simple gold necklace.

The Costume Institute's spring exhibition falls on the first Monday in May every year and is held at New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth are this year's co-chairs. Also on the committee is Vogue's Anna Wintour.

The honorary chairs for the evening are Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew.

Jamie Dornan opted for a blue waistcoat and black trousers, Eddie Redmayne turned heads in a blazer dress, Josh O'Connor sported a black suit and floral shoes and Jonathan Bailey wore a white blazer with a large corsage

'This year's co-chairs reflect a variety of career achievements, and all have distinct style histories with the Met Gala,' Vogue shared.

The showcase will feature approximately 250 items drawn from The Costume Institute's permanent collection - with many of the pieces too fragile to ever be worn again.

The pieces will all be displayed using elements such as AI, GCI, and more while playing up themes of land, sea, and sky. 

'It is very much an ode to nature and the emotional poetics of fashion,' said Andrew Bolton, Wendy Yu Curator in Charge of The Costume Institute, of the upcoming exhibition. 

'One thing I hope this show will activate is that sensorial appreciation of fashion.'
