Stephanie Davis has revealed she was rushed to hospital on Tuesday, after doctors feared she had pneumonia.
The Coronation Street star, 30, took to her Instagram to inform her fans that she had been suffering from a chest infection for three weeks.
After seeking medical help, she was sent straight to the hospital with suspected pneumonia, which is an inflammation of the lungs that can become very serious and even lead to death.
Thankfully however, Steph discovered that she had just come down with nasty infection and had been sent home with medication.
She shared a video of her holding her mum Pauline's hand to Lutan Fyah's Mama Love and captioned it: 'Had a bad chest infection for three weeks now.

'Went to the doctors today and they sent me to hospital thinking it was pneumonia, thankfully it’s just a really bad infection I can’t shift.'
Voicing her gratitude for her mum's support, she added: 'My lovely mum sat with me for most of the day. So grateful for all she does and has done for me. Felt like it was a therapy session.
'We ended the day on a good laugh, nearly wetting ourselves in the car park when she screamed thinking her car was bashed, dinted and scratched and then vigorously tried to wipe the mark off to realise it wasn’t her car. Love you mum, thank you for always being there.'
The actress added: 'I’ve been put on steroids now (they never agree with me) and more antibiotics and something to break up my chest so hopefully can have a day cough free soon.'
It's not the first time the star has landed in hospital with breathing issues, as she is also asthmatic.
The former Hollyoaks star was hospitalised with Covid in July 2021, after she 'woke up and couldn't move'.
At the time, Stephanie had not been vaccinated for the coronavirus, despite her asthma putting her at the top of the priority list, because of her serious food allergies.
She shared a video from her hospital bed while wearing an oxygen mask, where she explained that the onset of her symptoms 'happened so quick.'
She said: 'So last night I had a bit of a headache before bed, and my sinuses. I woke up so ill. I had to call an ambulance basically, and I've tested positive for Covid-19.

'I feel like I've been ran over. The worst part is my skin. I can't touch my skin, it's killing me. I'm just in so much pain.
'Oh my god, it's horrible. And it just, it happened so quick. I basically woke up and couldn't move.
'I've never had sore skin before, so I thought: 'Well, this isn't like a chest infection'. Normally, I suffer with my chest. I feel rotten.'
After having her breathing device removed, the mother-of-one returned and told fans: 'I'm going back to sleep now. Trying to get an hours' sleep. I feel like I've been ran over. My skin, I can't touch my skin.'
Following a little rest, Stephanie explained to her followers: 'They've started me on some more fluids and some painkillers and intravenous for the pain... Honestly, my god. I feel like I've been ran over.
'Did anyone else [with Covid-19] have sore skin? I feel like I can't touch my skin, and my back. My chest feels a bit better after having some nebulisers, but my god!'
A spokesperson for Stephanie told MailOnline at the time: 'She has been in isolation and is awaiting a chest X-ray.
'She's at risk because of her underlying asthma. Stephanie has not been vaccinated yet because of her allergies and anaphylaxis.'
Stephanie rose to fame when she was 17-years-old after taking part in BBC One talent show Over The Rainbow in 2010 in the hopes of winning the role of Dorothy in The Wizard Of OZ West End show.
Despite failing to win, she impressed Channel 4 bosses at Hollyoaks who invited her to audition and she joined the soap that same year playing teenage tearaway Sinead O’Connor.
However, despite her career going from strength to strength her boozy antics off-screen caught up to her and she was dismissed by bosses back in July 2015 after arriving on set under the influence of alcohol.
Her spokesperson said in a statement at the time: 'Stephanie's contract was terminated following warnings for lateness, attendance and after a final incident in which she turned up to set unfit to work because of alcohol consumption.'
A spokesperson for Hollyoaks subsequently confirmed to the MailOnline: 'Stephanie Davis will no longer be filming Hollyoaks. Her contract has been terminated with immediate effect.'
However, all appeared to have been forgiven three years later, when Stephanie announced in May 2018 that she was returning to the long-running show.
However, she then took a break in November 2019 and never returned, announcing a year later she had quit after 10 years.
The star admitted at the time it was 'not on what she wanted but what she knew was right'.
Stephanie took a three year break from acting to concentrate on raising her son, Caben, seven, after a rocky road in the limelight as her parents 'dragged' her to rehab due to her drinking three bottles of wine a day.
But in July last year, she revealed she had joined rival soap Coronation Street, playing the role of Courtney Vance.
She was introduced as a romantic interest for teenager Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain), engaging in an affair behind her husband Darren's back.
Stephanie has also spoken openly about her mental health issues, revealing she had been diagnosed with high-functioning autism.
She also revealed she had suffered a relapse and attempted suicide in 2019, later admitting her mental health spiralled after appearing on Celebrity Big Brother in 2016.
During her time on the reality show, Stephanie began a turbulent and publicised relationship with Beauty School Cop Outs star Jeremy McConnell, 31, who she shares son Caben with.
Their on/off relationship resulted in public spats, domestic violence and a consequential three-year restraining order.
Jeremy was charged for domestic violence in August 2017 after being accused of assaulting Stephanie in a drug-fuelled row, and was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months and 200 hours community service.
The mother-of-one is now in a happy relationship with partner Joe Mckalroy, who she has called the 'love of her life', after meeting in November 2021.
