Benue government pledges support for Lobi Stars

Benue State government have assured Lobi Stars of maximum support ahead of the upcoming Nigeria Professional Football League season.

Benue Governor Hyacenth Alia made the assurance during a visit to the team in Makurdi.

Alia commended the efforts of the management of the club in upholding the status of the team in the NPFL.

He assured that he will build on the gains of last term for a successful campaign.

The governor also set up a five-man committee to map out a strategic plan to support the team.

The committee is headed by the Speaker of Benue State House of Assembly, Hon Aondona Dajo, Director of Sports, Philip Nongo, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports, John Tor Akume, Aondofa Akosu and Chief Godwin Uwua will serve as members.
