BBN’s Jeff Bankz has cried out over alleged r+cism by immigration officers at a South African Airport.

He said he just arrived South Africa for the first time. I’ve never been treated with such r@cism from immigration officers (anywhere in the world) speak more of my African brothers than the way I was treated &retained/held for no reason for more than 3 hours today at O.R Tambo International Airport along side a few other Nigerians. From the tone and words being exchanged. It was nothing short of these X nophobic Immigration officers using their assigned office to oppr ss us Nigerians.

Each of us had to find contacts to get these immigration officers to release us. And it boggled the minds of our contacts as to why we were even being retained in the first place seeing as all our documentation were in place. I’ve never been treated in such lowly manner in my entire life. And what’s worse ? Because I’m Nigerian? Sol ask, Why do some South Africans, our brothers and sisters h@te d£test us so much ?

When they come to our home in Nigeria, we treat them as distinguished guests. Do we not ?

And to think I was so excited to come to SA believing that I’d get the same brotherly and sisterly treatment I’ve gotten in all the other African states I’ve visited ! I’m appalled, no I’m sad, no I’m disappointed, no, I don’t really know how I feel. I’ve left their custody just now. But my heart bleds that my brothers (Immigration Officer Ditshabe, Officer Chauke and Officer Mashego)* would use the powers of their office to oppr ss their African brothers and sisters simply because we are Nigerian.
