Times are tough, but one chippy has been serving chips for just 5p a bag to help people get through the cost-of-living crisis.
Iestyn's Fish Bar, in Pontypool, South Wales, runs a two-hour sale twice a month, usually on a Tuesday, where 5p chips are up for grabs as long as customers buy another item.
First-time business owner Iestyn Evans, 28, told MailOnline: 'There's no minimum spend - you can buy any other food item regardless of price. It could be a small sausage for example'.
The sale, known as 'cheap as chips' even includes battered chips which would usually set you back £3.30.
Iestyn's offer has been so popular that he's managed to accumulate a loyal following - and the queue for his small town fish and chip shop has been huge.

The offer has caused a buzz in the small community although Iesten said: 'Prices are getting better for us, but it's too soon for us to put our prices down – but putting stuff like these little offers in does help.'
The business owner explained that people who missed out on the offer are keen to know when the next one is, but Iestyn selects the dates randomly.
Kerry Jones, 33, is a hairdresser from nearby Sebastopol who was excited to feed her family of five after hearing abour the generous offer.
Claudette Blair, 56, remarked: 'It is very good for people who can't afford a good meal - the less fortunate than us'.
But word of mouth isn't the only way people are finding out about the chippy - with some eagled-eyed locals spotting the offfer on the Iestyn's Fish Bar Facebook page.
Kevin Galsworthy, 46, called the deal 'brilliant' and had grabbed some sausage and chips, for just under £2. He planned to return for fish and chips, the shop's specialty.
Another customer from neighbouring Cwmbran, left the shop with ten items, which would cost you around £25 at a normal day at Iestyn's, for just £12.
While it's Iestyn's first ever business endeavour, he's no stranger to the world of chippies.

The Sebastopol native worked at a nearby chip shop in his Cwmbran but bought his local branch off his boss two years ago.

The Chip Inn, in Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire, are famed for their humongous food boxes and have now claimed they offer the largest fish and chip dinner in the country.
The chippy created the 20-inch Codfather which consists of four battered cods, three portions of chips, eight sausages, four fish cakes and ten different sauces.
The gluttonous meal, that would set you back £40, weighs in at around one stone and four pounds, the same as a 43inch TV, and the box has to be wrapped in tape so it doesn't burst open.
