Manchester United have confirmed Rasmus Hojlund’s new shirt number for the 2024/2025 season.
Hojlund was assigned the no. 11 during his first season at Old Trafford.
However, the Denmark international will now wear the number 9 jersey, which was for Anthony Martial last term.
Martial left United after his contract expired.
Hojlund will now follow in the footsteps of United legends like Sir Bobby Charlton, Andy Cole, Dimitar Berbatov and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who have all worn the no. 9 shirt.
With Hojlund getting the new number, Joshua Zirkzee is expected to inherit the number 11 shirt.
