A beloved mother-of-three was killed in a suspected 'hit-and-run' as she crossed the road, leaving behind two children and a four-month-old baby. 

Keita Mullen, 30, was on the high street in Bawtry, Doncaster when she was hit by the driver of a vehicle, which police believe was a Nissan Juke.

South Yorkshire Police were called just after midnight on Sunday and emergency services attended but Ms Mullen was declared dead at the scene. 

Another pedestrian, a 33-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver, believed to be a 49-year-old woman, fled the scene but was arrested by police on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. She was released under investigation.

The car was travelling along the A638 high street to Great North Road.  

Keita leaves behind three children aged ten, five and four months old.
