C&S okays date for late leader, Abidoye’s burial

The late Head (Baba Aladura) of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye, will be buried in a Mausoleum at a memorial Museum and Park constructed at the Galilee Land headquarters of the church located on the Ilorin/Ogbomoso express road, on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

The chairman of the burial committee, Senior Special Apostle Aderemi Awode, disclosed this at a press conference signalling the weeklong funeral program to be held at the Galilee Land headquarters of the Church on Saturday.

The late Baba Aladura, Abidoye died on November 12, 2023, at the age of 103 years.

Awode revealed that the late Abidoye who was the architect of the Galilee Land which is now the new headquarters of the Church, would be laid to rest in a Mausoleum in a memorial park to be named after him at the national headquarters of the Church.

“The Baba Aladura, the late prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye is the architect of the Galilee Land headquarters of the C&S Movement Church, he would have his final rest in a Mausoleum located in a Museum and memorial park built within the Galilee Land headquarters of the Church on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

“The Museum and the memorial park will comprise of an e-library where all information about the C&S Movement Church will be made available and everything about the church and the founder of C&S Church, His Eminence, Most Apostle Moses Orimolade will also be available”, Awode said.

“We are gathered here today to honour the life and legacy of our esteemed Spiritual father who graced this world for an incredible 103 years. His life was a symphony of service, faith and unwavering dedication to his flock and service to God Almighty. From his earliest days in the ministry to his final moments among us, Baba Aladura Abidoye embodied the true essence of compassion and selflessness.

“Throughout his tenure, he led with grace and humility, touching the lives of countless individuals through his words, actions and unwavering commitment to justice and peace”, he said.

Awod added that the funeral program which would kick off on Monday, April 22 till Sunday, April 28, 2024, would be held at the Galilee land headquarters of the church except on Thursday when the body would be taken to his hometown, Omun-Aran in Irepodun local government area of Kwara state for a commendation service.

He said that the ordination of the new Baba Aladura, Most Senior Special Apostle Prophet Emmanuel Abiodun Alogbo would be held at the C&S Movement Church Auditorium, Galilee land on Sunday, April 28, 2024.

He said that adequate security arrangements had been made with all security agencies to ensure that the carnival-like funeral was held in a peaceful atmosphere.

Awode said that over 10,000 people including heads of various Churches are being expected at the burial of the late spiritual head as well as the ordination of the new Baba Aladura.
