Manchester City are just unstoppable at the moment.

This is the best they have looked all season. The way they are playing at the moment, it's hard to see past them becoming Champions again.

With that 4-0 win, they are now unbeaten in 30 games in all competitions, winning 24 of them.

That run makes them the third English top-flight side to go 30 or more matches without defeat, after Nottingham Forest in 1978 and Manchester United twice in 1993-94 and in 1998-99.

Can any of you see anybody beating them?

Birghton's pain is brought to an end by referee Jarred Gillett.

The second half wasn't the best of watches, that's just because of the control Manchester City had on the game.

Julian Alvarez added gloss to a fabulous performance with the fourth goal after a brace from Phil Foden and a brilliant Kevin De Bruyne header.

That performance was ominous if you are an Arsenal fan, City were imperious at the Amex.

Brighton have to forget that match as soon as possible, but in truth, the result may mean their European dreams are over.

This game is just petering out now, it's been a forgone conclusion ever since Phil Foden doubled Manchester City's lead.

It's just about getting to the end of the match for Brighton now, it's just not been their night.

I'm still at a loss as to why Brighton did not just get a penalty, Gvardiol definitely got away with one there.

VAR then checks but says no, but I'm very surprised, I think that's a really poor decision.

The Brighton fans do too, I just heard some very fruity words being targeted at the referee. The person showed exactly how you shouldn't voice your anger.

The crowd all go 'oooo' in unison as Carlos Baleba nearly lobs Jason Steele with a header into his own net.

Luckily for Brighton, Steele backpedals quick enough to stop it going into the net.

That would have been an awful own goal but also would have summed up the evening the hosts are having.

To be fair to Brighton, they still aren't giving up on scoring a goal.

Substitute Simon Adingra bursts forward on the counter-attack before sending a low strike wide of the pots.

The problem for them is that they just don't look likely to score, while they are so weak at the back.

He does get on the scoresheet!

Moments after nearly scoring a screamer, Julian Alvarez puts the ball into an empty net.

It starts with Kyle Walker racing through, beating one defender, and then winning a 50/50 challenge with goalkeeper Jason Steele. Alvarez was never going to miss when the ball fell to him

It's certainly questionable defending from Brighton, I must say.

The striker does well to beat a few Man City players while driving into the box and nearly manages to accidentally assist himself via a deflection.

The stadium is so flat, it's hard to put it into words how downbeat the Brighton fans are right now.

Brighton have come out of the traps a little better.

Pascal Gross wants a penalty after he goes down under the challenge of Rodri, but after a quick VAR check, it's not given.

I'm not sure it was a penalty, but Rodri definitely did have a hold of Gross, maybe on another day it could have been given.

It feels like everything he does turns into perfection, the man can simply do no wrong.

He is just one goal away from a third Premier League hat-trick of the season. I wouldn't bet against him getting it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, that was one hell of a header by Kevin De Bruyne.

I'm not sure many people thought the Belgian midfielder had that in his locker, he already has everything else perfected.

My uncle texted me saying that it was the 'best header he has ever seen', which might be a stretch, but it still tells you just how good it was.

Brighton fans aren't happy, they don't think City should have had a free-kick in the first place, and they'd be right.

It looked like Foden had been tripped for the foul, but it was actually a slip.

The Argentine flashes a low drive just wide of the post, it was really close.

That goal has kicked Brighton into gear.

Lewis Dunk nearly provides them with the perfect response, but his header goes straight at Ederson.

That counter-attack should have brought so much more.

Joao Pedro does really well and brings the ball forward, the crowd roars as they sense the opportunity.

However, Joel Veltman tries a clever first-time pass after receiving the ball from Pedro, which goes straight into a Man City player.

They should have done better there.

Brighton nick the ball off Manchester City in their own half and the ball ends up in the path of Welbeck.

The striker takes it first time and it goes straight into the hands of Ederson.

That shows the attacking intent Brighton will have tonight.

The City superstar has sat on the bench for their last two fixtures in the league, but he returns today.

How he would love to return with another goal.

In my head, Brighton should definitely be in the conversation for Europe, however, the table says differently.

The Seagulls sit in the bottom half of the table in 11th on 44 points, six points off of seventh-place Newcastle.

If they win tonight, which is a huge ask, they may still be in the fight for the European spots.

But, anything less than three points should spell the end of their hopes of playing in Europe next season.

Last May, the two sides played out a 1-1 draw, and Julio Enciso unleashed an absolute Thundercracker to earn the hosts a point.

Erling Haaland will not feature tonight, as confirmed by Pep Guardiola in his press conference on Wednesday day.

It’s a major blow for City to lose the league’s joint top scorer when they are embroiled in a fierce title race, but they have plenty of other firepower to call upon.

It will be interesting to see what Pep Guardiola decides to do. He loves to surprise us.

Roberto De Zerbi must be making a long team talk because Brighton arrived at the Amex some time ago.

I wonder what they do in the hours before the warm-ups? I'm assuming there will be lots of meetings.

Either way, the players certainly look excited for tonight's action.

Well, it seems we have now lost one of the riders. Last night, Liverpool’s hopes were left in tatters by their bitter rivals Everton at Goodison Park. They were bullied and well beaten by the Toffees.

That, alongside their 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace, the Reds’ title charge seems all but over, which leaves us with two horses remaining.

Unlike Liverpool, Arsenal enhanced their title credentials this week with a 5-0 thumping of rivals Chelsea. They are going to fight for glory until the end.

Now it’s time to see how Manchester City fare in what has proved to be a pivotal week in the title race.

They normally thrive.

It feels like a lifetime since Manchester City played in the Premier League.

Pep Guardiola’s side love this time of year, they are made for it. When the pressure is on, they usually deliver, and the pressure is on tonight.

City travel to Brighton needing to win to stay in control of the title race. If they do so, they will sit just one point behind Arsenal with a game in hand.
