Biker in his 50s dies after crashing his motorcycle on a bend at a race circuit in Kent

A biker has died after he crashed his motorcycle on a bend while on a race circuit.

Kent Police confirmed that a man in his 50s was riding a green Kawasaki ZX-10R motorcycle and came off the vehicle after leaving the track in Kent.

The air ambulance was called and paramedic crews rushed to provide treatment for the motorcyclist.

He was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene and the man's next of kin are being supported by officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.

The fatal collision happened at Lydden Hill Race Circuit near Dover, Kent,  yesterday.

The company, founded in 1993, runs track days at the Kent circuit, across Britain and around Europe and claims to be the UK's 'leading provider of bike track days'.

Detectives have requested witnesses attending the track day to come forward and are appealing for footage or evidence of the crash.
