Chinwe, a contestant on Big Brother Naija Season 9, has appealed to Biggie to remove the power that custodians and housemates have over evictions.
This season’s rules allow any pair that wins the custodian challenge to influence who gets nominated and evicted. Housemates not in the bottom four can sometimes vote on which duo to evict based on what’s inside the custodian box.
On Monday, Chinwe voiced her frustration to fellow housemates, saying that the current eviction process stifles their ability to fully express themselves.
She urged Biggie to change the eviction method, arguing that it would allow housemates to speak freely without fearing retaliation or eviction from their peers.
“There’s too much power in this house, so people can’t actually speak their minds. The fact that we have to decide people’s fate makes you cautious,” Chinwe said. “Biggie should change that. Speak your mind without the worry of stepping on toes and facing the consequences from other housemates.”
