Bandits kidnap Islamic scholar and students in Zaria

Suspected bandits have kidnapped a prominent Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ismaeel Gausi, in Zaria, Kaduna State.   It was gathered that the gunmen kidnapped Gausi along with his students from his residence on Wednesday night, August 7, 2024.   Witnesses reported that the bandits stormed his residence, shooting sporadically before whisking the victims away to an unknown destination. "The noise of gunshots was alarming, a local resident said.
