Akwa United head coach, Fatai Osho, has stated that his team will fight for maximum points when they face holders Enyimba in Aba on Sunday (today).

The Promise Keepers have managed just one point from their opening two games.

Osho said the Promise Keepers will approach the game with a positive mindset.

“Sunday (today) will present us with another opportunity to go for our first win of the season. We have worked hard and we believe in our ability as a team that we can take on any club in the league,” Osho told the club’s official website.

“Enyimba is a big team, they are the defending champions, but we will not be looking at the name Enyimba, instead we will be concentrating on what we can get out of the game and we are determined to fight for the maximum point.

In the last six meetings between the two sides in the Nigeria Premier Football League, Akwa United have recorded two victories while Enyimba managed one win while three of those encounters ended in draws.

Last season, Akwa United picked a point against Enyimba in Aba and won the return fixture 1-0 in Uyo.
