One Year Later, What Do You Think About Davido’s “A Better Time” Now?

Last week was the anniversary of Davido’s third album, “A Better Time.”

The album, which was released two weeks after Wizkid‘s “Made in Lagos” has sure been a subject of controversy among fans and music listeners, especially because of its negative critic reviews and its subpar commercial success.

Honestly, compared to Wizkid‘s hit fourth studio album, MIL, “A Better Time” (or ABT, for short) has been kind of a disappointment. For one, the album had more than a few foreign artists on it and fans thought he was gonna dominate because of that, but unfortunately, he has been outshone by the Starboy.

He has not just been outrun by his biggest rival, his album has also aged poorly. Unlike MIL which has its commercial success to boast, Davido’s ABT doesn’t really have anything.

The real fact is, ABT isn’t Davido’s finest. That would be his 2019 sophomore, “A Good Time,” the prequel to ABT. Unfortunately, ABT wasn’t able to turn heads the way AGT did. It’s been a year, and people have almost forgotten about it.

Davido has even moved on, as he’s just dropped a new single. ABT, no matter how you look at it, is a disappointment, though. Anyway, I just thought I’d get people’s opinions on it since the album is one year old.

Let’s hear from you.
