Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed
The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed, has called on the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations to work towards the political stability, social harmony and economic proficiency of Nigeria.
A statement on Tuesday said he made the call during his investiture ceremony as a patron of the institute and conferment of honorary fellowship.
He said this became was important due to rising insecurity concerns in the country.
The statement said that the investiture, which was in line with the provisions of Decree 16 of 1990, was performed by the President and Chairman of Council, NIPR, Mukhtar Sirajo, as part of activities to mark the annual general meeting of the institute in Bauchi.
Mohammed called on the NIPR to change the negative tendencies of the various ethno religious and sectional groups in Nigeria through perception and reputation management.
While thanking the president and the institute the honour, he said it would motivate him to put in his best in the service of the state.
