The Abbey, St Mary’s in Wick, St Nicholas’s in Pinvin and St James’s in Birlingham all remain open for personal prayer but traditional services will move online.
A statement read: “With the rapidly rising Covid-19 virus rates and the new national lockdown restrictions, after careful consideration the Pershore Benefice has taken the decision to suspend public worship in their buildings for the time being. “Therefore there will be no worship services held from now until further notice. “They will revert to providing an online Sunday Service each Sunday at 10.30am, available on the Pershore Abbey Community YouTube Channel. “A link to this service will be published on the Abbey website and Facebook page. “Church buildings will remain open for personal prayer with social distancing hygiene measures in place.
“People are reminded that face coverings are mandatory upon entering places of worship along with hand sanitising and the two-metre distance applies at all times. “The Benefice will remain active on their social media platforms to keep the community updated. There is also a prayer group on Facebook for those wishing to join.” Pershore Abbey is open from 9am-5pm on a daily basis.
Full details of the other church opening times are updated via and available on the Pershore Abbey website.
